Evolution of Intelligent Design

The very essence of “enigma” can be summoned by the oxymoron in the title of this piece. The structure of this Wood Sculpture represents a seed pod, of sorts, which in itself suggests the beginning of new life. Then it contrasts the question of the source of this life whether by divine creation or by natural progression by contrasting this seed of life being contained in a dead and deteriorating piece of wood. Leaving the convoluted “chicken or the egg” hyperbole to be reckoned with.
