Pine Striped Shelf Cat

This styled wood sculpture of a cat is designed to fit on a narrow window ledge so it’s features are quite flattened to accomplish that measuring only 1 1/2 inches wide for its 4 1/2 inch height.  It is carved from yellow pine, also known as hard pine or southern pine.  This wood is of the hardest in the pine family and is often used for flooring due to its beautiful contrasting grain.
