Self Analysis – Wood Sculpture

This artwork is an original one-of-a-kind wood sculpture created from a single piece of Weeping Cherry by Jerry Ward.

The underlying concept is for one to focus on the mirror image and to use it in the same manner to adjust their character as they would for their appearance. The two elements of the sculpture struggle to accomplish this.
For this wood sculpture, the artist used various electric and hand-carving tools such as chisels, gouges, and other blade tools in the development of his works.
