The posture of this wolf was borrowed from my own dog who's always sniffing out varmint. Hearing a sound in the grass or forest debris causes a momentary freeze of movement with the intent and concentration focussed on listening for yet another telltale rustle of leaf that will give away the position of the yet unseen critter.
