One of my favorite subjects. Wizards are fantasy but they always evoke the human thread that connects us. Not unlike
the superhuman, super-hero of comic book stories that extend us to a realm to which all of us would like to
experience; even for just a little while. Still the wizard emotes a feeling of benevolence that is unsurpassed. I
believe this is largely due to the visual father image they emote. So rather than wanting to be like them, as with the
super-hero image, we rather feel comfortable with the persona the generate. Not unlike our fathers whom through
our impressions of them as children, we endow with near magical qualities. In our imaginations then if we could be
with a wizard we would be with a confident, incredibly wise, largely compassionate, slightly eccentric, somewhat
moody individual with a very commanding presence. This copy has been painted with Fleck to give the appearance
of stone. I like the effect more because it gives a fuzzy appearance as though the fellow has just materialized. Despite the appearance of photo this is a full color picture.
