This carefully chosen pose for Don Quixote is designed to elicit the virtue of the subject. With one hand at rest
on sword while the other placed on breast, lends a contrast of the defense of honor, balanced with the gentleness
of the soul. The posture with head slightly up thrust gives the figure nobility: While the exaggerated leanness of
body imparts the fragility of age. This copy has a slight blemish on the right cheek of the face which actually
could be viewed as an enhancement (looks like an old saber scar). There is also a split in the base which has
purposely been left to further distinguish the piece as authentically made from real wood. Both of these blemishes can be seen in the lower pictures below.. This is number 3 in a limited edition of 24.
