Santa done the American way. My favorite way. The excerpt from the Clemment Clarke Moore poem given above is curious in the statement of Santa being an elf, a reference I have never found documented anywhere else. Most people refer to him as Santa and his elves. Without the distinction given that Santa himself was an elf. Only that he lived with them. Oh well, I like the idea of Santa being an elf more than human, and I kept that in mind as I carved this fellow. Even if he does kind of look like my dad. This one is number six in a limited edition of 50.
